There are a few islands close to the bay to dive around and this makes for a different dive than normally. |
Evans Peak: |
This is pinnacle and it rises to about 14m below the surface. It has spectacular drop-offs and abundant fish life and this attracts the sharks. This is a must for the adventurous diver. Depth: 14-30 m |
Brenton, St Croix and Jaheel: |
These islands are marine sanctuaries and thus no boats may go closer than 300 m. A permit is needed to dive here. This is an unspoilt area with hydrios, sea-squirts, gorgonians, sponges, seaweeds,moss and various other invertabrates. It also boasts abundant fish life and various species of shark like Ragged tooth, Tiger and Hammerheads. Depth: 6-22 m |
